taking off...

I'm leaving everything behind and I am going for a hike... a long, long hike. I am heading down to Georgia next week and I will start hiking the Appalachian Trail. Therefore I won't be online for sometime other than to send emails and update my trail journal ( [link] )
I'm going out this week to try and find a smaller, lighter camera. My Canon G5 is just to heavy to add to my already 25lbs+ pack weight. I was considering a hike with no camera... I don't know what I was thinking!

It has been a long time eh? Nice to see you are still around and being brilliant :) Appalachian Trail was a trip, and I miss it, always wanting to get back out there... but I am on the other side of the country now!

I'm giving consideration to obtaining & learning how to drive a motorcycle, getting a side car for it, & taking my dog on a road trip... across the continent, from sea to sea. I need an adventure! ;)
